Elf Blush in Mellow Mauve

While I was a'searching the interweb for makeup goodies the other day looking for new (cheap) products to buy, I came across the e.l.f website. Now at first I thought it was a website for elfs, but as I took a closer look I saw it stood for eyes, lips, face. It's quite clever really!

I'm absolutely smitten with elf's eyelash brush as it really separates the lashes well, but while I was looking at their other products, I just had to look at their blushers. I am really loving blushers and bronzers at the moment, it has turned into a bit of an obsession, much more than eye products like a couple of months ago. I really want the NYC Bronzer and Bourjois Bronzer (you know the one which is supposed to smell like chocolate), but my local superdrug doesn't stock NYC and for some reason I just can't bring myself to buy the bourjois Bronzer- strange. However if I do purchase these, I will make sure I do a post about them!

Anyway, I chose 'Mellow Mauve' after much research of the different shade's swatches. I felt that mellow mauve is a lot more of a natural colour and I did not own a purple toned blush so this was the perfect opportunity. The packaging is extremely similar to Nars' blushes which is a massive thumbs up from me. It also has a very satisfying 'click' when you shut the lid! I think you can tell that the little things please me! The blush gives the apples of my cheeks a gorgeous tint and this has definitely become my staple blusher so far. Not only that, but a healthy sheen which is necessary if you have pale cheeks like me. It is a very subtle yet noticeable colour so it is perfect for school/every day use. Unfortunately the pictures do not do it enough justice! I really want it in 'Coral Candid', and 'Pink Passion' looks like quite an interesting colour, but there are many other shades I wish I good possess. It is just such good quality for the price!

I don't want to end this on a downer, but I thought I would make you aware that elfs makeup brushes (£1.50 ones) are not made of very good brush hair. It falls out constantly. Please don't waste your money on these. BUT I do recommend the eyelash brush as I said before- invest invest invest!

Lastly, excuse the extravagant yet weird language I am using today, I'm in one of 'those' moods. :)

Denim Dungaree Dress #1

As I said in my previous post, from today I am starting a weekly post string, where every Saturday (yeah I know it's sunday, but yesterday was very busy for me!) I will try and style/accessorise the denim Dungaree dress. This is such a versatile item which can be worn differently every time! I know when I buy new clothes, I always stress out what to style with it, so if your interested in knowing what to wear with it or your just being nosey (don't worry because I am!) then I'm sure this will interest you!

This is the first post, so if your wondering where I got the Dungaree dress from, then I got it in the sale from New Look. I talk about it a lot more here. I got it for £11 (this is the exact price, whereas in my last post I wasn't too sure!) and it was originally £22.99. However they can be purchased from a lot of different high street stores; topshop, primark, river island etc. Its just really looking around for the design you want, and I was incredibly happy with mine. I don't tend to wear dresses a lot in the day, but since the beautiful weather and the loveliness of the dress, I have worn it at least 5 or 6 times!

I styled it with a simple white rolled sleeved tee and that was it! How simple and easy was that!? I'm sure everyone possesses a white tee somewhere in their house and if not they are reasonably cheap to buy! Mine was from Asos for £6 or in Primark they are £4!

I would accessorise it with this necklace which is from Topshop for £8.50

TOTAL OUTFIT COST: £25.50
without necklace: £17
