The Popband Review

Hellooooo!

I think in all, I refresh bloglovin about 6-10 times a day to see what my favourite bloggers have been posting about. The other day, I came across PopBand's while I was browsing, and before really thinking about it- ordered them straight away.

So you might be thinking right now 'what in the world is a popband?' And I can tell you that it is not what it sounds like; a band who produce pop music. Na ah! A popband is a hair band which leaves your hair kink free, but is also really tight that it doesn't fall out- even with silky freshly washed hair! Its also really good for your hair as its snag free. BUT it also doubles up as a really cute bracelet at the same time, which won't fall off but not leave a massive dent in your wrist!

The packaging-PINK BUBBLE WRAP! You have no idea how happy this made me.

You can get them in all different colours and designs, individual, double or multi packs and even some with bling on! Yaaaa!

I got a multi pack of 5 PopBands named 'Pop' as I loved the colours of them. It cost me £6. As you can see from the above photo, the light pink one I have been wearing a lot, and even though it has stretched it still works the same.
I also put these bands to the test when I went dancing the other day, and they did exactly as they said on the tin (pardon the pun!) and my hair stayed in the same position for two hours straight of jumping up and down and all in all going crazy on adrenaline.

I absolutely love these hair bands- much better than the £1 primark ones (even though they are really goood and my go-to's!)

AND at the moment, PopBand are currently offering £5 off when you spend £20 by using the code SUMMERAMA13
AND they are offering FREE DELIVERY to the UK!

Could it get any better?

New Look Wish List

Hey guys,

how are you all?

Schools been rather hectic at the moment, what with English controlled assessments and mountain piles of homework (just a slight exaggeration) oh and not forgetting me spending 4 nights a week at my local theatre!

So I get back in the habit if blogging, I thought I'd start myself off with some wish lists. I mean who doesn't love a good wish list now and then?

As I shop in New look the most out of all the high street stores, I thought I would chose it first.

At the moment, I have had a bit of an obsession with 'Broderie Englaise'. I must admit it has never amazed me before, but since my vintage fling has taken place, it is one of my favourite things to wear. I just think that Broderie englaise is a flash from the past (well the 1920-1950's anyway. I honestly don't know what my fascination with that time period is, but I love it so much, the music, the fashion, the outlooks. Love it.

A while ago I sold some of my dads old stuff on eBay, and gained £80 from it, so after postage and all that jazz was taken off, me and my mum split it in half and I gained £30 or so! So of course, my natural shopping instincts kicked in and I knew I had to purchase something- so I bought the white dress and wire headband above, which go beautifully together.

What do you think of the items? Do you like them?

Feel free to leave links of your favourite items from new look at the moment!

Summer Wishlist!

hey guys!

On Sunday, I am in a show at my local theatre which I am so excited about! We are performing 'The Crucible', which is set in Massachusetts 1692. I play a bewitched girl! Wish me luck!

As we all know, Summer is approaching (rather slowly at the moment), and as soon as I see a tad bit of sunshine I just cannot wait to wear all of my dresses and skirts and search the internet for new clothes.
It seems to me that this year will have a lot of mints and corals - which is good for me because I absolutely love them! Oh and lots of pastels, but also tropical/floral prints. It also seems that the traditional Modern Vintage look is here as well! YAYAY!

These are my summer essentials of Summer 2013 - if it ever arrives!

Do you like any of these items? What are your summer essentials?

Barry M Gelly Hi-Shine Nail Paint in Papaya

hey guys!

HAPPY EASTER!

I recently purchased this gorgeous little thing; Barry M's new collection! When I got it, I didn't realise that it was a new thing (silly me), but it is sooooooo good.

Now, I am not the best of people when it comes to painting nails, one, because I can never apply it smoothly, and two, because I get it everywhere. However, it is amazing! It is available in 12 other colours, and all gorgeous colours by that! I also love the mint green one that they do.
As it is Gelly Hi-Shine, it leaves a gorgeous smooth and shiny effect once it has been applied and has dryed! The packaging is lovely - classy glassy (as I say!) and it is bigger to what you would think it would be! Meaning lots more applications! It leaves such a good shiny smooth surface that it could actually be mistaken for acrylic nails - until it chips anyway. But even then, it is said to be a lot more durable. A novice Nail Painters dream! AND, for £3.99 - you can't go wrong!

This is just a swatch of it (which to be honest, doesn't do it justice at all) and an identical one with just a glitter nail polish over the top as I wondered if the glitter would ruin the shinyness - but it didn't!

Oh and as I am on the subject of nails - which I don't too often, I added one coat of the Maybelline Salon Manicure Protecting Top Coat, and it made my nails SHINYER and it just adds that extra coat of durability which I feel that I need as I am so clumsy. So yeah, bigging up this little beauty!

If you like this nail post, then let me know and I will be sure to do more of them!

Marks & Spencer's Floral Vintage Bunting

hey guys,

a close up

This beauty of a bunting that ever was made cost £7.50 from Marks & Spencers Garden Section. When I saw it, it didn't matter what the price was (even though it was actually quite reasonable), I just had to get it! It's longer than I first thought as well, 7ft in total!

I am honestly so happy with it. It makes me happy just looking at it! hehe!

Have any of you guys got that Vintagey feeling at the moment? What do you'se think of it? What do you add to your rooms to give it that touch?
